Recruiter Terms of Use

These terms apply specifically to companies and individuals using the CubeX Recruiter Portal ("the Service") to create and manage candidate assessments. They supplement, and do not replace, the general CubeX Terms & Conditions.

1. Account and Subscription

• Recruiter accounts are provisioned by CubeX directly — there is no public self-signup.
• The Standard plan includes 12 student seats. Custom plans are agreed separately.
• Subscriptions are billed monthly via Paystack. Cancelling stops future billing immediately.

2. What You May Upload

• You may upload problem images (PNG/JPEG) describing coding challenges for candidates.
• You may optionally upload an answer key used for auto-marking — see Section 4.
• You must not upload content that is illegal, infringes third-party rights, or contains malicious code, exploits, or content designed to harm CubeX or its users.
• All uploads are subject to automated and manual review by CubeX for platform safety. CubeX may remove content that violates these terms, with notice where reasonably possible.

3. Data Ownership and Confidentiality

• You retain ownership of the assessment problems, answer keys, and candidate submission data generated within your workspace.
• CubeX stores but does not read, share, or use your answer keys for any purpose other than running the auto-marking feature you enable.
• Answer keys are encrypted at rest and are never exposed in any user-facing interface, including to CubeX support staff during normal operations.

4. Auto-Marking Limitations

The auto-marking feature compares candidate submissions against your answer key using keyword, tag, and function-name matching. It is a preliminary filter, not a definitive assessment of correctness. Different valid programming approaches may produce different match percentages. CubeX strongly recommends manual review of all submissions before making hiring decisions, and disclaims liability for hiring decisions made solely on auto-mark scores.

5. Subscription Cancellation and Data Retention

• Upon cancellation, your workspace enters a 60-day grace period during which features are locked but all data is retained.
• You and your assigned students will be notified by email at cancellation and again 3 days before final deletion.
• After 60 days, all assessment images, answer keys, and submission data are permanently and irrecoverably deleted.
• You are responsible for downloading any reports or data you wish to retain before the 60-day period elapses.

6. Student Data and Conduct

• Students participating in your assessments retain their personal CubeX account and general course progress independently of your workspace.
• You must not contact students outside the CubeX platform using information obtained through the assessment workspace without their explicit consent.
• Disputes raised by students about assessment scoring are handled directly by CubeX support and are not visible to you until CubeX has completed its review.

7. Liability

CubeX provides the Recruiter Portal as a tool to facilitate assessments. CubeX is not a party to, and assumes no liability for, any employment decision, offer, or outcome resulting from use of the Service. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.

8. Changes to These Terms

CubeX may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Recruiter Portal after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
